Martin is widely regarded in the building and construction industry for providing accurate, expert building reports for both private and public sectors. His construction background provides a strong foundation for interpretation of legislative requirements, the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and Industry Codes of Practice.

Martin entered the construction industry as an apprentice Carpenter and Joiner and progressed his career across most disciplines including all levels of Site Supervision, Estimating, Contracts Administration and Project Management gaining experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Civil construction.

Martin's experience also includes 16 years with the Queensland Building Services Authority working in forensic building investigation, dispute management, mediation and appearing as an expert witness in the Building Tribunal. As Manager Subsidence Unit, Martin developed and managed the BSA Subsidence Policy including overseeing the engineering consultant panel and management of all subsidence investigations undertaken by BSA.

Martin's qualifications include a Master of Construction Management and Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Building). Martin also holds a Queensland Open Builders licence.

Martin is in a position to provide expert building reports and evidence in proceedings before the courts as well as assisting clients to resolve disputes utilising mediation and alternate dispute resolution practices.
